Vadim Skiing

I like to ski, and have skied for most of my life. I started skiing (mostly to and around school) in Leningrad, Russia when I was about 5. The skis were rather rough, but they were better than nothing.

When I moved the U.S., my dad introduced me to downhill skiing. I have skied in and around L.A. (Big Bear, Mt. Baldy, etc.), and continued to ski after moving to Northern California (Lake Tahoe region - where this picture is from). More recently, I have tried other snow sports as well (cross-country skiing, cross-country skating, snow-boarding) and like them a lot. I'm still learning at these and looknig for folks to go with - email me if you plan to go and want to split gas, etc.

In addition to California, I've tried slalom in Colorado, Utah, Whistler and Banff/Lake Louise. They have more snow, fewer people, and cheaper prices. I like that a lot. The only down side is that it takes a while to get there (money and time). But the trips are a lot of fun from time to time.

Here are some pix of a recent ski trip to Tahoe...
