Vadim's Family

Mom and Marvin
Dad and Stepmom
Given our long and somewhat trecherous migration from the former Soviet Union to the San Fancisco Bay Area, I consider myself very fotunate to have a lot of family around. My dad, Alex, and stepmom, Alex (yes, it does get a little confusing) live nearby in Sunnyvale. My mom, Raisa, and stepdad, Marvin (much less confusing) also live within a drive's distance in San Jose.

I have two quasi-brothers. There's my step-brother, Dan, pictured, and my half-brother Sam, who has his own page. So please help me out here - how much is a half and a step?  Is it more than one?  We are a tad unusual in that there is an 8 year gap between Dan and myself, and a 22 year gap between Sam and me. Most siblings are packed a tad closer together.

I am also very happy to have my grandmother, Sarra, living close by in Los Angeles. Recently she celebrated her 82nd birthday. Most things I am can be attributed to her.

My mom's parents, Boris and Lena, recently immigrated from the Ukraine and now live in Brooklyn, New York, among many other friends and more distant relatives from the town of Chernovtsy.
