Vadim Biking

Biking is a lot of fun - especially with friends in really beautiful terrain. I enjoy both road and mountain biking, though I tend to stick to trails. I'm one of these strange people that likes biking up hills more than speeding down them. Here I am having biked to the top of "the loop" in the Santa Cruz mountains - at Skyline boulevard.

I have been introduced to several fun rides in the Bay Area, including the Palo Alto foothills loop, a Tiburon loop, and an extended version to Stinson beach. My typical rides are to work and back - a little over 10 miles between Palo Alto and Redwood City. Here is the story of one of the longer day bike trips.

The century ride (100 miles) still eludes me, but hopefully this will happen soon. I look forward to a couple more trips that I have heard are excellent -

  1. Circumnavigating Lake Tahoe
  2. Bike touring around the Med. (I expect to go in Summer 1998)

If you know of other great trails in the Bay Area, email me.
